Are you prepared?
It looks like 2020 has yet another nasty surprise ahead for us. Canada’s winter weather forecast just dropped, and conditions are going to get pretty brutal in some regions. With more rain, more snow and even colder temperatures expected, you should consider digging out your snuggliest jumper ASAP.
For all residents of Ontario, the forecast is predicting conditions that are “much colder than normal winter temperatures.” but southern Ontario, including the GTA, is being blessed with “even more snow than usual.”
If you were hoping there might be some improvement by the start of 2021, think again. The forecast is “red-flagging” early January in Ontario and Quebec as extra-heavy snowfall is expected.
The Farmers’ Almanac has been providing long-range weather predictions every year since 1818. Its forecasts are based on a mathematical and astronomical formula that is guided by the rules set forth by its founding editor David Young for accurately predicting the weather up to two years in advance.
The almanac is reminding viewers that its predictions are long-range and are meant to give Canadians a good idea of the weather that might come their way.
